So Far...

A couple of weeks ago I made a short list of crafts to work on this Summer, & reading back over the list I realized that I have already finished 2 of them! Granted they were probably two of the easier ones on my list, but still I'm excited :)
First I made a Flower Hair Clip

We decided to make hair flower clips to wear to the scrapbooking convention so we would be cute :) And I also made this one so I could post it on Etsy. We took a picture together looking cute with our hair flowers, & when I get that picture I'll show you.

The second thing I can cross off my crafting list is Flower shirt, purse, & hat pins

I love the way that looks on my hat :) I may have trouble parting with it lol

Thats what I've done off my summer to do list, how about you? And "summer resolutions" underway? Tell us about them.

How to celebrate our aniversary

I just today read Jennasaurus blog about how she & her husband celebrated their 3 year anniversary, and it got me thinking about what Hubby & I are going to do for out 4 year anniversary in less than a week! I know this is something I should have started thinking about a long time ago, but I didn't so here we are.
I love the mini vacation idea Jennasaurus wrote about, but we are trying to save money to go to Disney World in April, so I don't think Hubby will be to keen on the mini vacay. Hes the budgeter & bill payer in our family which is good since before we married I was not doing so well with either of those adult tasks, but that's a whole different issue.
I want to do something fun, but not break the bank. On our first anniversary we went to a community college play & we both loved it! We love live theater. So I thought maybe we could go find a play to see, but that feels like a copout since we've done it.
This is as far as my thoughts have taken me. So what do you think? Do you have a fun inexpensive anniversary idea? If so please let me know, I'm running out of time!

Crafts to do this summer

As of yesterday I am no longer watching Conner and Elias during the day because mommy is now a stay at home mommy :) I have mixed feelings about this because I love them dearly & loved my time with them, but I am glad that mommy gets to spend everyday with them now. And I still live in the upstairs of their house so when I need my precious Conner & Elias time I just need to go downstairs :)
That being said, now I am free to devote more of my time to my crafting & here is my to do list:

1) Beer bottle mirror/picture frame
2) Rock and Roll baby girl mini album
3) Hair flower clip
4) Paper covered plaque
5) Flower pins for shirts, bags, hats...

Well thats a good start, hopefully I can get them all done this summer. I will post pics as I accomplish these new craft ideas :) What are you going to work on this summer?
